Together, with professional leadership mentors from Ashton College, students will create a personalized action plan and work on their leadership and self-management skills. Students will engage in practical assignments that will help them to build the immigration practice of their dreams and succeed in the industry. This Immigration practitioner leadership course creates an environment where you can build and expand your immigration practice by interacting with experienced practitioners, business professionals, leading experts and other influencers. Consider this your first stop on the road to becoming your own successful business owner in the immigration field. Working in immigration can be rewarding and exciting, and owning your own practice can add to the benefits of being an immigration practitioner. In this course, you will learn how to create and assess your plans for owning your own practice, as well as setting goals and targets. Communication and relationships with clients are covered, along with key growth areas for the business. Human Resources will be addressed as it is a necessity to building any business.

Course Prerequisites

NONE. The course is designed for those who wants to start their own immigration practice.

  • Students must devote at least 3 hours per week to attend live webinars.
  • Webinars will be held on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 7:00 pm PST .
  • Outside of live instructional periods, students will be expected to take part in various independent and/or group activities.

Technical Requirements

Live Online Students

Ashton College uses web conferencing tools to help instructors and students connect and collaborate live online. Students need access to a computer, laptop or smartphone to access the class sessions. To be able to participate in webinars, students need a webcam and headset, or a microphone and headphones, along with a high-speed internet connection.


Registration Fee for the course is $945.

This course does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. As such, it was not reviewed.
